Batik Indonesia

Batik is a Javanese word to describe a certain way of obtaining a pattern upon a piece of fabric by a wax resist technique.‘Tik’ is given as word meaning to ‘dot’ or ‘drop’ and is particularly applicable to a process involving the use of hot wax dropped in spots.


Batik is cultural symbol of Indonesia. The patterns contain deep meaning in every batik creation and represents the uniqueness of each batik producing region.
